stunning stay but minor improvements needed
The classic double room with a castle view was breathtaking, offering an incredible sight that enhanced our entire experience. The champagne on arrival and turn down service with additional treats made us feel truly special.
The building’s charm was a little overshadowed by the noise from the street outside at night.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially the warm welcome we received. The comfortable atmosphere made it easy for us to relax, and the breakfast spread, with fresh fruit and options made to order, was a perfect start to our day in Edinburgh. Plus, the view of the Castle from the common areas was absolutely stunning, making it even more memorable for the family.
My children wished there were more activities for kids on-site.

The views of Edinburgh Castle from my room were stunning. I felt welcomed by the warm ambiance right from the start. The staff showed impressive attentiveness, always checking in to ensure I had everything I needed. The breakfast options were excellent, especially the fresh fruit and cooked items made to order. the check-in process could be smoother. I had to wait longer than expected, which felt a bit clunky given the hotel's upscale vibe. The room I stayed in was quite cozy but felt a little cramped, especially for the price I paid. I expected more space considering the rates. I noticed the window had a draft, which affected my comfort a bit. The bar area was charming, but I encountered inconsistent service at times. Despite these few issues, the overall stay left me with positive memories, and I would love to come back for the excellent location alone.

Stayed in a Classic Double Room with a castle view. The bed was super comfy, and the room was clean and spacious. I loved the fresh linens and the little tea and coffee setup. The bathroom was a decent size, and having a window that opened was a nice touch for fresh air. Just a bit of noise from the street occasionally, but nothing that kept me up. a pretty relaxing stay!
